At LGE, we believe our country cannot have a healthy environment or usher in a just energy transition without a functioning democracy. That is why civic literacy and public policy engagement are baked into the DNA of our business model.

The 2022 primary and general elections were no different. LGE hosted two opportunities for politicos, pals, friends, former foes, elected officials, corporate pals, educators, grassroots, and business representatives to gather in Detroit to debrief and discuss election outomes and declare the new work ahead.

Michigan saw Democrats gain a “trifecta” by taking control of the governorship and both legislative chambers. The attorney general, secretary of state, and state school board are led by Democrats who all declare that energy and our environment won huge.
